The Festival of Trees has become aware of the situation regarding the Angel Baby tree that was donated in Memory of Grayson Michael. At this point in time, I’m pleased to report that the situation has been resolved due to the generosity of the family that won the tree. Given the number of folks who have become involved in this discussion, I think it’s important to remind everyone that no one should ever expect to win a tree --- everyone is hopeful, but there are no guarantees. It’s also very important that no one donate a tree with the expectation that he or she can control who ultimately wins that tree. Throughout the course of the Festival, thousands of individuals purchase tens of thousands of tickets to win one of our beautiful trees. When we pick a winning ticket, it’s our expectation the winner will give each tree a happy new home! We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the Festival with tree donations and by purchasing raffle tickets. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Tom Lussier, President Methuen Festival of Trees, Inc.
