Quinta Mazatlan is a Mansion with a Mission! Quinta Mazatlan is a Historical Marker and World Birding Center! We offer tours of our 1930's Adobe mansion and nature tours of the Thornforest. With trails, birds, art, history, and plenty of room to play, Quinta Mazatlan offers something for everyone!
Admission is $3/adult and $2/child and seniors. Members get in free all year!

You’ll be amazed to see just how many different types of rocks can be found in the Earth as you learn the difference between rocks and minerals, minerals and metals, and then enjoy “busting” a rock and painting a rock. Or go on a “treasure hunt” to find the hidden gemstones. Every Saturday in April from 11-am-Noon and 2-3 pm.

The sweet smell of Texas Huisache announces spring in the Valley! That haze of yellow on the landscape is most likely Texas Huisache (Acacia farnesiana [A.smallii]) announcing spring to the LRGV. The scent is so magnificent that early in the 19th century French botanists imported the tree to use in its perfume industry.
