Prince of Peace Preschool News Prince of Peace Preschool would like to welcome three new staff members. We are so excited to have them teaching our 4 year preschool class starting in August. They are Carole Ayers, Elizabeth Kolb, and Danielle Ruby. Carole Ayers has taught for 26 years, mostly 1st grade, in North Carolina and Georgia. She has a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and graduate and undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education. Carole has been honored as Teacher of the Year. Previously, she lived in Washington, D.C., worked in U.S. Congress, and traveled around the world. Carole loves to study the Bible, history, pre-history, and geopolitics. She lives with her sweet widowed mother. Most of all, Carole loves God, children, people in general, and most animals, especially cats. Elizabeth (Liz) Kolb grew up in Milwaukee, WI. She studied elementary education in Minnesota at Martin Luther College. After her junior year, she transferred to Wisconsin Luther College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies. Soon after graduating, Liz and her husband, Eric, moved out to his family ranch in South Dakota. Then they moved their family down to Evans, Georgia to be near Liz’s parents. Liz has had the privilege to be a stay at home mom for the past nine years to four children, ages 2, 4, 7, and 9. She has enjoyed volunteering at Prince of Peace in a variety of activities, including teaching Sunday School, accompanying worship services, and organizing the church soccer camp. In her free time, she enjoys playing in local tennis leagues, teaching piano, coaching basketball, and playing sports with her children. Liz looks forward to getting back in the classroom and working with the children in a Christ- centered environment. Danielle Ruby grew up and attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, WI. She has a B.A. in Latin American Studies/Spanish from the University of WI- Eau Claire. After graduation, she joined the U.S. Army and enlisted as a Spanish Linguist. She served for a brief time, during which she met her husband. They have been married for 16 years and have three children in elementary and middle school. As an Army family, she has lived in many different states which include, CA, TX, MD, and GA. They are hoping to call Georgia their permanent home. Danielle enjoys children; she stayed at home with her three children for over 10 years and then started doing various part time jobs over the last several years when her children were all in school full time. She also chaperoned and volunteered at her children’s schools. Danielle led play groups and helped organize kid activities. She and her husband currently lead the youth Pioneer program at Prince of Peace. She enjoys arts and crafts and gardening. She has found joy in assisting the teachers at the Prince of Peace Preschool. Danielle cannot wait to start working with the children in the fall!
