Mars Stars Jump Rope Team, Mars, Pennsylvania Jump Rope is an excellent fitness activity and for the past 12 years, Mars Elementary has had a Jump Rope Club. For the past 10
years, in addition to the club, Coach Best has coached the Jump Rope Team, which includes 28 team members. Eight years ago we
became an official American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart demonstration team.  We practice twice a week
for two hours from September thru May. We perform in other local school districts. Last season
we participated in 8 different schools throughout Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Allegheny and other surrounding counties.
In the past you may have caught us performing at the Adams Community Day, Lightening Jump Off in Ohio, Mars Applefest, Double Dutch and Gymnastics
workshop, 3 American Heart Association Heart Walks and the Mars 4th of July Parade. We have also sent several
jumpers to Tennessee, Michigan, Iowa and Virginia for the Junior Olympics the past several years. This year we will be represented in the Macys Day Parade by our four oldest jumpers.  Stay tuned for an event near you!
