We offer medically-supervised pet boarding to monitor them. When your pet needs to have surgery performed, you need to know that you can count on someone to properly care for them. At Marlton Animal Hospital, our doctors and technicians take every available precautionary step before any procedure, especially ones requiring anesthesia. If your pet is in need of surgery, please feel free to ask us questions. Pre-operation requirements vary per pet, based on the type of procedure, species of pet, age of pet, and the pet's health status. Testing can involve blood work, x-rays, echocardiograms, and more. We will run these tests prior to starting the operation to check your pet's organ function and make sure there are no underlying issues that may affect the outcome of the procedure. We want you to feel confident that your pet will be safe with us. We will utilize Pulse Oximeter machines, blood pressure monitors, and ECG machines throughout your pet's surgery. These monitors help us ensure that your pet does not have a reaction to the anesthesia. Each pet requiring anesthesia will have a trained technician monitoring them throughout the whole procedure. There is no substitute for the human factor, and although machines aid in our surgical procedures, we do not fully rely only on them.
