Rent Party
Description
Good music! Good cause! Started in 2009, Rent Party is a once a month live music event at The Woodland. The proceeds from these shows help fight hunger in our community. We support three local food pantries. We built and maintain a large community garden on the front lawn of the South Orange Elks that raises fresh produce for the pantries we support. Our BackPack Pals program provides a weekend's worth of nutritious food to about 100 food-insecure kids in our schools ...

BackPack Bob could not be prouder of the people who show up and help pack foods for the kids who need it most here in town. The crew that came to help him tonight was filled with longtime volunteers who have been there since Year No. 1. Year No. 6 is coming to a close and we have packed over 13,000 bags since we started! Wendell Goodman, husband and manager of Oklahoma music legend Wanda Jackson, died Sunday
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Wendell Goodman, husband of the Queen of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson. We are thankful for having had the chance to spend some time with Wanda and Wendell in December. Wendell was a loving and caring husband and his devotion to Wanda was clear. He was, simply put, just a really nice man. Rest in peace, dear friend.
