Maple Shade Fire Department Serving Maple Shade, NJ Since 1912, the Maple Shade Fire Department is a completely volunteer department serving a community of 20,000 residents. The township is 3.2 square miles situated in western Burlington County, New Jersey. The demographics of Maple Shade include residential single-family homes, numerous garden apartments, commercial businesses and light industry. US highways Rt. 73 & Rt. 38 pass through the town, Maple Shade Fire Department responds to an average of 620 emergency calls a year. This number does not include any EMS services.
