Home of the Tigers This is the official Sequoia School Facebook page. It is intended to celebrate the many accomplishments of our community including employees, students, and families. Good afternoon, Sequoia families. This is Lisa Herrin, principal at Sequoia School. As safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, we wanted to make you are aware of a situation that occurred this morning at approximately 11:25 a.m. Due to police activity on Martha Street, and at the request of the Manteca Police Department, the school went on lockdown for several minutes. All students and staff were accounted for and the situation was handled without incident. Thank you and have a great weekend. Buenas tardes familias de Sequoia. Esta es Lisa Herrin, directora de la escuela Sequoia. Como precaucion por nuestros estudiantes y empleados es nuestro primer prioridad, queremos avisarles sobre una situacion que occurrio esta manana aproximadamente a las 11:25 a.m. Debido a actividad policiatica en la calle Martha, y a peticion del departamento de policia de Manteca, tuvimos un encierro de escuela por menos de cinco minutes. Todos los estudiantes y empleados estuvieron seguros y la situation se resolvio sin ningun incidente. Gracias y que tengan un buen fin de semana.

Dinner with Scientists!! Dinner with a Scientist was an evening of inspiration and insight for middle and high school students who may be interested in entering the field of science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). Students got the rare opportunity to spend about 15-20 minutes with four different STEM professionals of their choice. STEM volunteers discussed their professions and answered student questions.
