The Class of 2017 and their families are invited to attend the Nursing Recognition Ceremony. The optional Blessing of the Hands Ceremony will follow. RSVP is required for the Blessing of the Hands.

On Monday, November 20, Dr. Linden Karas from Avita Health System visited the Mansfield campus to present a "Lunch & Learn" on bariatric surgery. A big thank you to Dr. Karas, her staff, and all of the students who participated in the event. We enjoyed having you here!

The December cohort nursing students recently presented their ongoing research work at the College of Nursing in Mansfield. The poster presentations at the Knowledge Integration event covered a variety of health and injury concerns. The 33 presenters did a fine job of current research dissemination. The winning poster was presented by Jacqueline Pahor. Her poster demonstrated research on the "Effectiveness of Pulse Oximetry and Early Detection of Congenital Heart Disease in Neonates." The event was chaired by Dr. Karen Estridge.

Kelly Dials, Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care, and George Velez, System Director for Physician Practice Operations, both from OhioHealth, were on the #Mansfield campus Tuesday, November 17th. They met with 65 Ashland University #nursing students to discuss the nursing profession, give advice from their own practice, share about opportunities within the OhioHealth organization, and answer questions from students as they prepare for the job search, graduation and the start of their careers.

Dr. Karen Estridge (R) and Dr. Jacqueline Owens (L) recently presented "Interteaching: Enhancing the Classroom Experience for Baccalaureate Nursing Students" at the 44th Biennial Convention of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN. The session was offered to a packed room of faculty who were interested in the promotion student accountability for learning in partnership with engaged faculty instruction. #STTI #honors #nursing
