Old Town Escape
Description
Mankato's first escape room!
Book now at oldtownescape.com Haven't heard of escape rooms?
Well, it's like this: You get a group of friends or family or co-workers together, you go in the room, you look around the room, you find clues to solve puzzles, and you have sixty minutes to figure them out and "escape the room." Get it?
It might be one of those things where you have to be here.

Frequently Asked Questions
-Am I actually locked in the room?
-No, the door remains unlocked throughout the game - we can pretend! In case of emergency, we want to make sure you can get out quickly and safely.
-Is it scary?
-The game is not meant to be scary; maybe eerie at times, but not scary. Team-building, mentally challenging entertainment is the objective of the game.
-What if we can't escape?
-We want you to have a fun experience, and hints will be provided to try to help if your team gets stuck. If you aren't able to escape after an hour, we'll let you out and show you what you needed to do to escape.
-How long should we plan for our Old Town Escape experience?
-Each game has a 60-minute time limit, but plan for about 90 minutes total, as we do spend some time on orientation before and debriefing after the game. You should plan to arrive just before your scheduled time slot.
-How many people do we need to participate? And how much does it cost?
-We recommend at least four people per game, especially in The Witch's Kitchen. You may have up to 8 people in The Post Office and up to 12 in The Witch's Kitchen.
We are now introducing our discounted Spring/Summer pricing! Room price of $89.00 includes up to 5 players and guarantees you the entire room to yourselves. Extra people pay an additional $18.50 each.
-Can I just walk in?
-Nope, you need to find an available time slot that works for your group on our booking page. Generally, you must book at least 90 minutes in advance on weekends and 48 hours in advance on weekdays. But if you call or email we'll try our best to make arrangements for you to play on shorter notice.
-Can I bring my phone in the room?
-Yep. Some rooms make you leave your phone outside, but we want you to have it in case your babysitter or dogsitter or whatnot needs to reach you. Just don't take photos inside.
-What are the recommended ages?
-It often proves advantageous to have a variety of ages/backgrounds on your team. However, the puzzles are created with adults in mind. If your pre-teens want to take a crack at it, that's great! But kids under 15 will be admitted with adult supervision only.

If you do it soon and you ask nicely we’ll mail you a physical certificate to present! Or you can do it at 5 pm on Christmas Eve if you want to wait because you think you can find something better (you can’t). 🤓
We had a great time entertaining Jerry’s Body Shop at The Mankato Golf Club with The Oracle’s Tent on Friday, and Greener World Solutions in Waseca with Solve the Case on Saturday! They sure know how to throw a fun holiday party!
Andrea Braun, you've won two free admissions to The Oracle's Alley from our Shop Small Saturday drawing! We had to cut out the part where we zoomed in on your entry because it had your email address and maybe some creep would email you for some reason? Probably not but you never know. We could have blurred it out, we guess, if we were more tech-savvy. But we're rambling. Congratulations!
Fun groups as always! We also brought Solve the Case to Holtmeier Construction & Dirt Merchant’s holiday party and had a ton of fun with them! Thanks for playing!
