W-E-S-T once again had a very successful week at VHSA Finals! Highlights include: CHAMPION Special Hunter- Honorary W-E-S-T team member Emily Goddin and Cherry Hill's Slipped Off to Paris RESERVE CHAMPION Adult Amateurs- Alison Thayer and First Soprano MOST CONSISTENT AWARD goes to Victoria LaCivita! Victoria and "Echo" ribboned in every class they entered after over a month apart from showing together! W-E-S-T DOMINATED in the Adult Eq taking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th with Anna Miller, Alison Thayer, and Victoria LaCivita. Thursday's Working Hunter division ran late into the night but Sarah West had great trips and ribbons aboard Mary Keevil's On Broadway and Victoria LaCivita's Ensemble. Tax Time and Anna Miller and First Soprano and Alison Thayer also had good rides and ribbons in the huge class. It was all about the Adults this week, with Sarah training 4! On Broadway (Allison Ellowski), Ensemble (Victoria LaCivita), Tax Time (Anna Miller), and First Soprano (Alison Thayer). All the horses were well behaved and riders had great rides and ribbons! Our small but mighty team came home with quite the loot :) Congratulations to everyone! Looking forward to time off from showing to enjoy family and friends over the holidays!

W-E-S-T has had an AMAZING and whirlwind two weeks starting on October 15th with the wedding of Sarah and John <3! The following weekend Sarah traveled with many of the W-E-S-T team members to the WIHS Regional/Zone 3 Finals. Highlights include: CHAMPION WIHS REGIONAL AND RESERVE CHAMPION ZONE 3 FINALS: Meadowview Sundance Kid and Caroline Gilmer in the Medium Children's Pony Hunters! Giving Sarah a 100% success rate in qualifying a W-E-S-T rider for WIHS at the regional show! Honorary W-E-S-T member Fallyn Belcastro and Chapter Three Z won a Children's Hunter class, ALSO qualifying for WIHS! She also had great ribbons and trips in the Zone 3 Junior Hunter Finals. On Broadway and Allison Elowski and Tax Time and Anna Miller had great rides and ribbons in the AA hunters. Wellen Goldsmith and Parker Gilmer had great rides and ribbons in the HUGE Large Children's Pony Division. Finally, last week, Sarah enjoyed her honeymoon this past week and we now get ready for VHSA finals in under 2 weeks! Congrats to EVERYONE!

The WEST team had an amazing weekend at the fall Deep Run show and CHSA classic two weeks ago! Highlight include: Tax Time and Anna Palmer champion in the adult amateurs and taking 2nd in the CHSA Classic and top amateur rider! Way to go Anna! On Broadway and Allison Ellowski were reserve champions in the AA and 8th in the Classic! Ensemble and Victoria LaCivita put in solid trips and had good ribbons on Saturday in the AA and really stepped it up on Sunday to take 3rd place in the Classic with two beautiful rounds! Camarratta and Kirsten Dingus had great rounds and ribbons for their first time in the 3ft! First Soprano and Alison Thayer had good trips both days taking champion in the open hunter and winning the AA under saddle! WEST had a clean sweep of the AA classes. Cyndi Camejo's Holland Road and Sarah West had nice trips both Saturday and Sunday. The team enjoyed having Cyndi join us for both days! Never Too Late and Maya Alvarez had good trips and won the CH/AA undersaddle! Wellen Goldsmith and Parker Gilmer captured 2nd in the Classic Sunday with two of their best rounds ever! Meadowview Sundance Kid and Caroline Gilmer had two good rounds in the Classic and we're just barely out of the ribbons! While they didn't show, Parchment and Rosalie Morton had a super first outing to a horse show and we can wait to see them in the show ring! Congrats to everyone!

Highlights include: Champions: Ensemble and Victoria LaCivita-Local Hunter Meadowview Sundance Kid and Caroline Gilmer- Small/Med Children's Pony Great ribbons: On Broadway and Sarah West- Performance Hunter Adagio and Kirsten Dingus- Restricted JR/AM Wellen Goldsmith and Parker Gilmer- VPBA and Large Children's Pony Chapter Three Z and Fallyn Belcastro- 3'3" Junior Hunters- Fallyn and "Story's" first time showing with W-E-S-T! Congrats to everyone and looking forward to Lexington National!

W-E-S-T had an amazing week at Deep Run! The most exciting was watching Sarah pilot Tax Time to a 3rd place finish in the USHJA National Hunter Derby! Everyone rode great in their respected divisions with highlights including: Meadowview Sundance Kid and Caroline Gilmer Reserve Champion in VPBA AND S/M Children's Pony, Wellen Goldsmith and Parker Gilmer Reserve Champion LG Children's Pony, Cherry Hills Slipped Off to Paris and Emily Goddin Reserve Champion LG Local Pony and winner of the LG Children's Pony undersaddle! Awesome rides and ribbons for the Adult Amateurs Allison Ellowski and On Broadway, Anna Miller and Tax Time, and Alison Thayer and First Soprano! Thankfully the suns out for day 3 of the Deep Run Horse Show and it's Derby Day! Looking forward to watching Sarah show Anna Miller/Mary Keevil's Tax Time in the USHJA National Derby tonight! W-E-S-T has had a great week so far! Alison Thayer's First Soprano and Sarah had great rounds and ribbons in the 3'3" Pre-Greens, Sarah and Tax Time were amazing with a 2nd and 3rd in the Performance division, and Victoria LaCivita on Kirsten Dingus' Adagio were awesome and got great ribbons after Victoria only having ridden "Donkey" twice! Good luck to the rest of the team for the rest of the show!

W-E-S-T had a very successful James River Horse Show this past weekend! The Gilmer girls arrived with their game faces on and bested the adults! Parker and Mason taking home Champion in the VPBA and Caroline and Sammy winning the VPBA undersaddle! Great ribbons and riding for Anna & Tax, Allison & Broadway, Victoria & Echo, Sarah & Marcus, and Sarah & Twiggy! Congrats to everyone! Looking forward to a well deserved weekend off!
