Here's some data from an athletes back squat session this week using a @trainwithpush band. It was 3x10, and just for fun in set 2 I let him see the metrics from each rep. As you can see he was far more consistent with his speed in the second set than the 1st and 3rd sets. Couple outliers in 3rd set where he really moved the bar quickly. Cool stuff that you may not notice without objective feedback such as this. #trainwithpush #xipathletes #metrics

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER PERFORMANCE CAMPS!!! Beginning on June 20, we will be offering a six week program for middle school athletes meeting twice a week Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30pm. CONGRATULATIONS TO MICHAEL AND EVAN!!! XIP staff member Michael Sigsbury passed with flying colors the NSCA CSCS, (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) exam. The certification allows Michael to work with groups of athletes at the high school and collegiate levels at their schools and performance facilities. Good work Mike! Strength and Conditioning Intern, Evan Johnson, completed his NSCA-CPT certification exam. The NSCA-CPT is the certified personal training cert through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Thatta boy Evan!! Curls for Athletic Performance More curl variations for athletes who are interested in blowing up their opponents this season. I call this an ISO lunge curl to punch. The punch should be aggressive, we aren't playing patty cakes out there! This movement comes from the summer program of one of the high school football teams we consult with. Find coordinated ways to load your athletes that will carry over to their sport and you will see improved performance.

CALLING ALL KIDS!!! XIP KIDS CAMP STARTS JULY 8th!!! Do you have a child between the ages of 5-9 looking to get active, fit and educated about a healthy lifestyle this summer??? Then this is for YOU! The next round of our XIP Kids program will begin Saturday July 8th at 9:30 am and will run for 6-weeks. This program will fill up quickly so PRE-REGISTER children by June 19th to secure their spot in the program and to receive a $15 discount...that's 6-weeks for $45!!! After June 19th the program is $60 for 6 weeks. If your child is NOT pre-registered we will not be able to guarantee their space.
