Rescheduled! Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge Bus Tour

Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge encompasses the intersection of four distinct biomes. The varied habitats, with the addition of the Rio Grande as a water source, allow this 230,000 acre refuge to support an impressive array of biologically diverse plant and animal species. The refuge is not only biologically significant but of historical importance as well. What is now the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge is crossed by the Camino Real, and the ruins of Indian Pueblos still dot the landscape. When Saturday, May 20, 2017 Schedule 9:00am Meet at the Los Lunas Administration Building, 660 Main St NW Los Lunas 9:15am Depart Los Lunas to travel by bus to Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge 10:00am Arrive at Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center 10:15am-12:00pm Guided One Mile Nature Walk 12:00pm - 1:00pm Sack Lunch on-site 1:00pm - 2:00pm Guided Tour of Visitors Center 2:15pm Depart Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge 3:00pm Arrive at Los Lunas Administration Building Cost $5 per person What to bring Sack lunch and water; a hat, and sunblock suggested Please note The nature walk path will be paved with numerous benches along the way.
