Repeats are Neat Children’s Consignment Event will be held at the Longview Exhibit Building, March 15-18, 2018. Shoppers get great deals on gently used, good quality children’s items. Admission to shop is free. Participants can consign their children’s items for a 70% commission. Consignors and volunteers who help run the sale get the opportunity to shop first. Zonta Club of Longview will host their 10th Annual Prom Boutique at the Longview Exhibit Building on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Prom Dress Boutique will have prom dresses and special occasion dresses available for girls who cannot afford to buy a dress. Dresses will be short, tea length, or long formals in new or like-new condition and will range in size from 0 to 28. The event is a first-come first-served event. The Longview Running Club, partnering with Hearts Way Hospice of Northeast Texas, will hold the Kilgore to Longview Run on Saturday, February 10. The eleven mile race will begin in downtown Kilgore and finish at the Longview Rodeo Arena Small AG Pavilion. Runners will meet at the small AG Pavilion at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex and buses will shuttle participants to the start line in downtown Kilgore beginning at 6:00 a.m. Only race participants are permitted to ride the buses. The run will end at the small AG Pavilion with an exciting post race party. The Longview News-Journal will host ETXJobs.com Job Fair at the Longview Exhibit Bldg. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The expo-style job fair gives employers the opportunity to meet with potential candidates and facilitates interviews and receipt of applications. The 78th Annual East Texas Golden Gloves Regional Boxing Tournament will be held at the Longview Exhibit Building, February 1-3, 2018. This is a three-day event with Amateur Boxing, and Men and Women's Senior Open Division, in which East Texas Boxers compete to qualify to go to State competition to compete in the Texas State Championship. The three-day event is sanctioned by Southwestern Association of USA Boxing and all boxers must be registered with USA Boxing. The event will also include the 6th Annual All Comers Division for anyone who has never boxed before and has a heart for boxing, male or female, ages 8-40. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. nightly. General admission is $10, children 5-12 yrs. $5, under 5 free in general seating. Ringside seats (first 3 rows) are $20, and tables of eight are available for $250.
