facebook.comWe’re reflecting on the friendship between Rev. Billy Graham and our founders this week. Rev. Graham served on the LETU board from 1961 to 1975, R.G. designed a special building for his crusades, and Mrs. LeTourneau asked Graham to be a speaker in his early days as a pastor at Camp Bethany. And as many of you know, R.G. gave 90% of his income to the Lord, including being one of Billy Graham’s first financial supporters in ministry. "R.G. LeTourneau was the only wealthy man I knew in America who might give us consideration. I told him our predicament...two weeks later, a letter came from him with a cashier's check." -Rev. Graham

Our prayers are with the Graham family during this time of loss of Rev. Billy Graham. In addition to being one of our nation’s most faithful evangelists, Rev. Graham was a dear friend of our founders, R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau.

Kelsie is a junior mechanical engineering student who's back at LETU after spending last semester at Disney World. No, it wasn't a four-month vacation. After two years of hard work as an engineering student, plenty of prep with our Career Services office and wanting to work at Disney since she was in 6th grade, Kelsie landed a co-op at The Magic Kingdom doing project management. "LETU's hands-on opportunities allowed me to be more confident and I knew I had the skills to make informed decisions in project management," Kelsie said. And as you can see, there was time for fun as well–Kelsie's office was right behind Splash Mountain. #LeTourneauBuilt
It's #ThrowbackThursday, but we're not venturing too far back in the past. Does this version of campus' entrance look familiar to anyone?
"His family was in first class, and inside of the plane was festooned with streamers & balloons. In Dallas, we were greeted by a celebratory arch of water cannons on the tarmac." Capt. Jeff Rowland, a '74 ATBS alumnus, ended his decades-long career–during which he transported two million passengers–with American Airlines on a high note. #LeTourneauBuilt

"A Christian education should model for students what it means to live the story of God and to desire his Kingdom — not only intellectually but also in its practices and service." Read more from Dr. Wilson Cunha, associate professor of theology. #LeTourneauBuilt
