There's no business like snow business. With a current temperature of 4.6 degrees Fahrenheit at the Mile High Swinging Bridge (and a wind chill of -18.3), Grandfather Mountain's maintenance crew is taking it extra careful today, removing snow from the park's roadways, pathways and parking lots. Grandfather Mountain to host employee camp-out May 19

On May 19, Grandfather Mountain will host an open house for former employees and their families. Participants will receive free admission for the entire day, and special programs, including behind-the-scenes tours, will start at 3 p.m., followed by dinner. Camping will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is required. Please RSVP to Shelly Johnston at (828) 733-2013 or shelly@grandfather.com.
