The 12th annual Summer Shakespeare play this year is The Tempest. Aug 10, 12, 17, and 19 at dusk (8 PM) on the Sweet Brier Plaza Stage. (One block west of the theater) Admission: Free This play was the last play that Shakespeare wrote, and it is a wonderful story about magic and love and greed and reconciliation. But every good play needs a cast to perform it. Auditions for The Tempest are Monday and Tues, June 12 and 13 at 6:30 at the theater. There are parts for adults and young adults: 12 males and 12 females. Some parts can be either, and some parts are very small requiring only a few rehearsals. There are too many people to tag and not enough words. Directing a children's play was so much work, it was exhausting and overwhelming at times. BUT! It was also rewarding and amazing and I was filled with pride and wonder over and over. Thank you to all those who helped in a million ways, big and small. Thank you to everyone who came to our shows and laughed when you were supposed to, and cheered and clapped. You have made kids feel something, and know something about themselves that they might never know otherwise. Thank you for being part of this community and PLEASE, continue to be a part of it. Show up to your community theaters and enjoy whatever entertainment they are offering for your enjoyment. You won't regret it. Thank you, again!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Lindsay Children's Theater presents Willy Wonka Jr this weekend. We open tomorrow night, May 25 at 7:30 pm. Come catch a show Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening. Tickets are just $5 at the door.

Does anyone have a cherry picker that can reach 40 feet in the air? If so, can the theater borrow it for a few days to repair the sign? The one we have is too short, only reaches 32 feet. Give me a call at 284 2223 if you can donate its use to the theater. Thanks.
