Saturday night, Lindon Police Department conducted an administrative checkpoint on Geneva Road. In spite of the rain and in the course of 4 hours, 3 persons were arrested for DUI, 6 for drug offenses, 3 for warrants, 2 for open containers of alcohol in their vehicle, and one for an ignition interlock device violation. We want to thank everyone for their patience during this enforcement activity.
We had 89% participation from Lindon City residents on the night of the drill, opened and closed 29 Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) across the city, transmitted 30 "emergency scenarios" to the city by radio, had a new EOC set-up with our new police chief at the new public safety building, and held specialized training for the city council and mayor. THANK YOU ALL for your involvement! Lindon City is unique in all of the U.S. in its preparedness efforts!
