Bon Chien is back on tap! Brewery: BFM Brasserie Des Franches-Montagnes (Switzerland) Style: Sour ABV: 11% Ah, here it is: one of the best aromas in the world. Funk and clean-malts; vinegary sourness. The smell of one of my favorite types of beer, a perfectly balanced Flanders sour ale. Abbaye De Saint Bon-Chien is labeled as a biere de garde rather than a Flanders, but this could easily pass for an oud bruin, in my opinion — probably more so than a biere de garde. For one thing, it's a huge 11% ABV, which is highly unusual for any style of sour beer.
