Dog License Amnesty Day and Rabies Clinic This Saturday (5/20/17) from 10 AM to Noon at the Leicester Town Hall. Cats must be in crated and dogs must be on leashed. See attached flyer for complete details.
NRG Solar Representatives in Leicester Representatives from NRG Solar checked in with the LPD yesterday and indicated they will be going door to door in town to inform residents about a new solar farm in the area. They have represented to the LPD that they are not soliciting, canvassing or distributing anything with the intent to sell. The LPD reviewed the town by-law with the group leader who indicated they are not conducting any of the aforementioned activities. Flat Screen TV Thief - Fails Badly A 49 year old Worcester man was arrested on Saturday at approximately 7:45 PM after he pushed a flat screen TV out the door and but abandon it in the parking lot after he realized he had been “made”. The man was apprehended a short distance from the scene. He was booked and bailed.

Rollover Crash on Whittemore Street One person sustained non-life threatening injuries when the pickup truck he was operating rolled over on Whittemore Street at approximately 4:45 PM. The pickup truck went off the road and struck a tree prior to rolling over. The LPD investigation into the crash is ongoing.

LPD Flag at Half Staff Today Remembering: Officer Ronald Tarentino Trooper Thomas Clardy Please be advised that in accordance with United States Public law 103-332, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Monday, May 15th, 2017 in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
