RED Production, Capture, Edit, Expertise, Digital Imaging Tech, Direction, Rental, and Creative. Editorial, Music Videos, Shorts, Indie, TV, and Features. Blackwood Cinema is a digital cinema, production, and post-production shop in Las Vegas. We have, in-house, RED Digital Cinema equipment (Epic and Dragon both!), plus a full compliment of RED modules, accessories, and hardware. We also have fluid head tripod systems, cinema dolly, Digital Image Technician (DIT) services, DIT cart, DIT on-set production rig, ProRes real-time capture for 4K-2K-1080p HD SDI, on-set RAID capture and backup, plus lots more. Lights,v-lock batteries, and even production vehicles (including a DIT/Directors truck with a 4K monitor built-in.)

- DIT custom kit on top with 16 TB total RAID storage and ARRI, SONY, RED offload ability plus RED Rocket card onboard. 15" MacBook Pro Retina with iPad and Airport Express wireless dailies. USB 3, Thunderbolt, eSATA, HDMI, audio, and SDI I/O.
- 4K monitor on DIT and a second 4K monitor on our production truck
- Dracast LED 1000 Bi-Color Video Lights with V-Lock battery plates and DMX controls (MacBook Pro has DMX Controller Software licensed and installed).
- 8 RED Brick batteries with 4 RED Brick charging stations (all loaded onto our production cart).
- 32" and 21" HD monitors with both SDI and HDMI wireless to SDI + passthrough monitoring.
- Kessler K-Pod riding dolly system

- Rode microphone package (on camera, boom, and 2x lapel with digital recorder 4-channel input).
- 100mm bowl cart mount plus half-bowl camera mount.

Blackwood - First Legal Hoover Dam Flight
Blackwood is the first aerial operator in the world to legally fly a UAS around the Hoover Dam and capture film footage for a commercial client. It took a lot of planning, coordination, and effort to get to this point and we couldn't be more proud. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.
