The Healy Irish Dance Studio is the longest, consecutive running dance school in the world. William J. Healy emigrated from Ireland to San Francisco in the 1850s and began teaching Irish dance to his family and friends. His son, Williiam P. Healy, established the Healy Irish Dance Studio and taught along with his daughter Ann Healy. Currently Ann and her daughter Patti Ann run the Healy school with the assistance of Patti Ann's daughters Christina and Alisa.
