Here is your chance to help the local fisheries team see what is in our very own North Fork of the Popo Agie. Come on out Paul Gerrity, Fisheries Biologist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, has requested volunteers. We are tentatively scheduled to conduct the North Fork Popo Agie River population estimate at the North 2nd Street public fish access the days of October 25, 26, and 28 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday). Dates may change if weather is unsuitable for electrofishing. If dates change I will let you know ASAP. Anyone is welcome to volunteer anytime. We likely won't have room for volunteers in the rafts, but it will be easy for folks to walk downstream as we float and help us work up fish during our stops. Let's plan on meeting us at the fishing access parking area at 9:00am each day. And if volunteers show up later than 9:00am, they should be able to easily find us by walking downstream. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own waders. Thanks for getting the word out.
