Promoting and protecting the rights of people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc - Jefferson, Clear Creek, & Gilpin Counties was founded in 1960 by a group of pioneering parents of children with developmental disabilities who chose to raise their children at home in their community. For 50 years, The Arc has provided leadership, advocacy and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families living in Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties.
