Description
We do good things! Fast forward to 2010. With their 501c3 nonprofit status firmly in place and a Board of Directors comprised of accomplished professionals, The Fairview Friends Foundation has just begun to find its stride. With members and ambassadors from the classes of '79-2010, they've raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars, put on a dozen world-class fundraising events, and impacted the community in a hundred different ways. Far from finished with their work, the Foundation seeks to continue to expand their reach beyond that of a local nonprofit. Current initiatives range from assisting cancer and stroke victims, to raising funds in support a heart transplant recipient, to some down-home football game tailgating in support of their alma mater, Fairview High. Throw in a scholarship fund here and there, and you'll start to get an idea of just how far they've come (oh yeah...and they're still doing those gift baskets every week).
