Sea Center Texas is a marine aquarium, fish hatchery and education center located in Lake Jackson, Texas. Admission is free. Comment Guidelines: http://on.fb.me/cWf2LL Sea Center Texas is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in partnership with the Coastal Conservation Association, The Dow Chemical Company and US Fish and Wildlife Service Sportfish Restoration Funds. The facility opened in 1996 and includes a visitor center with aquaria and exhibits of Texas marine life, the largest redfish hatchery in the world, 36 one-acre fish culture ponds, an outdoor wetland exhibit and a youth fishing pond.

Sea Center Texas will be closed Friday- Sunday, August 25-27 in anticipation of Tropical Storm Harvey. We will reopen on Tuesday, August 29th at 9am. Stay safe!
Join us for youth catch-and-release fishing at Sea Center Texas. Pack your sunscreen, hat, lawn chair and fishing gear for catch-and-release fishing at our marine fish hatchery and visitor education center. Open to guests 16 years old and younger accompanied by an adult. Bring your own gear and bait with barbless hooks. No corks, artificial bait, treble hooks or metal leaders. A 4/0 or 5/0 circle hooks on a line with a weight (Carolina Rig) is recommended. Volunteers and staff will be on hand to assist first-time anglers. Accessible for the mobility impaired. This event is weather permitting.
