Allied Dog Training
Description
At Allied Dog Training we focus on more than just teaching your dog to be obedient.
Our goal is to help you understand your dog, teach you how to be a good leader and
communicate to your dog and make you and your dog a cohesive team. Located in lower Dutchess County we offer in kennel board and train programs, group obedience classes, and private lessons.
We’re experts at helping you and your dog with puppy training and socialization,
basic and advanced obedience, and we specialize in aggression rehabilitation and
management.
As Foundation Style Dog trainers our methods of training are easy, effective
and humane. Our approach solves problems, prevents problems before they arise,
and builds a long lasting relationship with you and your dog based on trust and
respect. At Allied Dog Training there is no such thing as a “bad dog”, there are
however dogs who have behavioral issues that need to be resolved. Every dog is
different and we tailor our training plan to fit each dogs needs.

Meet our newest board and train dog Macie. Macie is very sweet and social off her property but her owners have been struggling with territorial aggression towards strangers for years. She is over protective of her home and people on the property. She is here for full off leash obedience as well as to learn structure, rules , boundaries and that she doesn't need to protect her home or owners. We will be laying the foundation and giving her owners the tools they need to set her up for success.

Some photos from a structured socialization with Oscar, Molly, Sawyer, Bones and Hercules. Oscar and Molly came in very fearful and reactive towards dogs. By using reliable obedience, leadership, advocating for all dogs and teaching them to make better decisions they are learning how to properly interact with other dogs.

Bubba B. working on some impulse control outside with other dogs as a distraction. Bubba is a young lad who is looking for his forever home. Bubba loves people, is high energy, and needs a strong leader who will provide him with structure, rules and boundaries. He is fully trained in off leash obedience and his new owners will be required to take handling lessons from us so that they can maintain all the work he has done since arriving.
