The Lenoir County Health Department provides local public health services and programs to county residents. Services and programs include Adult Health, Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Health Promotion, Animal/Rabies Control, Child Health, Care Coordination for Children (CC4C), Childhood Lead Prevention, Environmental Health services, Family Planning, Immunizations, Laboratory Services, Prenatal Care, Pregnancy Care Home Case Management, Public Health Social Work, Vital Records, TB/Communicable Diseases/STD/HIV, and WIC.

The Lenoir County Health Department hosted our World TB Day: "Unite To End TB" Walk today! We had an awesome time raising awareness for such an important cause! We would like to thank everyone who participated in our walk which included our LCHD staff and neighboring organizations! We especially would like to thank Grainger Stadium for your hospitality. We'd like to thank Piggly Wiggly in Jackson Heights, Piggly Wiggly at the Plaza, and Walmart for your amazing donations. Thank you to Kinston Police for escorting us and ensuring our safety. Thank you to Chick-fil-A for your donations and mascot. Thank you to Kinston Free Press and WNCT 9 on your side for the media coverage. We thank our co-workers, Susie Hess and Alison Wade for being our awesome photographers. We thank our wonderful speaker, Kayshawn White, for her great success story. Thank you to those who pitched in to make this event a success! And last but certainly not least, we thank both our Health Director, Joey Huff, and TB Nurse, Debbie Murphy!
