ThrowbackThursday 😥 On 12/16/2017 a City of Kettering Municipal Courts Bailiff, and former KPD officer, Dave Zickefoose passed away. Dave served as a police officer in Centerville and Oakwood before coming to work at KPD. Dave enjoyed hunting and playing golf; he was also known for his artistic abilities while at KPD where he would often create cartoon sketches of co-workers. Dave was an incredible person and seemed to always have a smile on his face. He will be missed by so many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest easy now brother, we have the watch… 😥

Most jails our size do not receive this award; it is usually only obtained by larger correctional facilities and prisons. After an inspection and a panel interview Sgt. Price and Jailer Horvath accepted the certificate...This certificate is just one more thing obtained to prove KPD is Ohio's Finest...

************We Appreciate You Appreciating Us************ Today is.... NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY Across the country on January 9, citizens take the lead on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was founded in 2015 to thank officers across the country for all the daily sacrifices they make for their communities. Law Enforcement Officers of every rank and file have chosen a profession that puts their life on the line every day for their communities. They’ve answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. On National Law Enforcement Day, there is an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect.
