Description
The Kerrville Main Street Program is an economic development and physical improvement process designed to benefit the entire Kerrville community. The Facebook page for the City of Kerrville Main Street Program was created to facilitate the exchange of information with the public. Kerrville Main Street welcomes comments and postings related to Main Street programs for the residents of the City, surrounding area, and other visitors.
Kerrville Main Street reserves the right to regulate the content of this page. While City staff will not edit comments by visitors to this page, Kerrville Main Street reserves the right to delete completely, when necessary and as soon as is feasible, any posting that involves:

Join us for this annual Kerrville tradition! The Holiday Lighted Parade will commence at H Street & Water Street, travel down Water, turn Right on Earl Garrett and finish at the Courthouse.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES: A number of roads will be temporarily closed on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in conjunction with the Holiday Lighted Parade. The following roads will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the parade: • 3:00 p.m. – East Main St. from Westminster St. to Meadowview St. • 3:00 p.m. – Clearwater Paseo from East Main St. to Memorial Blvd (SH 27) • 3:00 p.m. – Water St. from Memorial Blvd. (SH 27) to Sidney Baker St. (SH 16) • 4:00 p.m. – “A” St.; “B” St.; “C” St.; “D” St.; “E” St.; “F” St.; “G” St.; and “H” St. from Water St. to Broadway St. (SH 27) • 4:00 p.m. – Earl Garrett St. from Water St. to Main St. (SH 27) • 4:30 p.m. – Tivy St. from Water St. to Main St. (SH 27) Additionally, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Memorial Blvd. (SH 27) will be reduced to one lane each direction from Clearwater Paseo to Water Street. Please refer to the attached map for further route details. This parade is expected to last no more than 2 hours and all roads will re-open at the conclusion of the parade. Severe traffic congestion should be expected around the Kerr County Courthouse at the conclusion of the parade. Please plan to use alternate routes accordingly during this time. HOLIDAY LIGHTED PARADE: Everyone's favorite holiday tradition - the Holiday Lighted Parade is scheduled to take place THIS Saturday in Downtown Kerrville! The Holiday Lighted Parade began in 2001 featuring local businesses, non-profits, youth groups, auto and marching units. This year’s parade has more than 70 entries and each entry will be completely lit for night-time viewing. Guy Overby will serve as the Grand Marshal for the parade, which will commence at the corner of the G Street Bridge and Water Street. It will travel westbound on Water Street, make a right on Earl Garrett, and will then end at the Kerr County Courthouse. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES: The Kerr County Fair Parade is scheduled to take place Saturday, October 22 at 11:00am. Several roads will be closed to all traffic in conjunction with this parade. A section of Earl Garrett St., from Myrta St. to Jefferson St., will be closed from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for parade staging. Beginning at approximately 9:40 a.m. a section of Earl Garrett St., from North St. to Water St., and a section of Water St., from State Highway 16 to G St., will be closed to all through traffic for the duration of the parade. These closures will remain in place until the conclusion of the parade, please plan alternate routes accordingly!

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES: There are several exciting events happening in Downtown Kerrville this week - and as a result a few street closures will temporarily be in place. Thursday, October 6th - Please be advised that a portion of WATER STREET, from Hugo St. to Washington St., will be closed to all traffic from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the Tivy Homecoming Parade. Additionally, a portion of Hugo Street, from Guadalupe Street to Water Street will be closed to all traffic. Friday, October 7th - The 200 Block of EARL GARRETT STREET, from Main Street to Water Street, will be closed from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the 2016 Downtown Kerrville Block Party. Please plan to use alternate routes during these times.
