“All Gave Some Some Gave All” Kenai Memorial Day Services Monday, May 28, 2018 The Avenue of Flags will be held at the Kenai City Cemetery at 10:30 am followed by a Memorial Service beginning at noon at the Leif Hansen Memorial Park.

#FBF to April 11, 2018 when the male returned to the nest with what appears to be the carcass of a smaller bird. A few seconds later a juvenile eagle appears in the nest and the two appear to fight over the carcass. Both eagles tumble out of the nest and the carcass falls to the ground. Shortly after this the male returns and remains for several minutes. ~jkb #kenaieaglecam

Good morning Kenai Eagle Cam watchers! You have probably all noticed we have gone past the typical 35 days for incubation. Per Ranger Leah, " Eagle eggs have hatched as late as 44 days after being laid. Let’s see if we just have late bloomers." New blog post is up! Good morning Kenai Eagle Cam Watchers! Check out this clip of the Eagles singing. This video starts out with the female eagle singing. You can hear another eagle in the distance responding. At 3:40 of this clip the male eagle returns to the nest with a branch. Shortly after this the female eagle leaves the nest and the male takes over sitting on the eggs. jkb
