My name is Lola! I’m told I’m a 9 month old Shepherd Pitty mix. I just had surgery today - I was spayed! - so I’ll soon be ready for my forever home! Right now I’m living with two other dogs and I’m loving life! I get to run around the yard a lot and pretend to be a WWE wrestling super star! I have long legs and while I’m almost 50 lbs I think I still have some growing to do! I love my dog siblings, they help me get my puppy energy out - but I also love my humans! I heard someone call me a “velcro-dog”! I think that means I like to stick with my human and never let her get more than 2 feet from me. I know some tricks - sit, paw, come, wait - but I’m working on something call down and off! Those are hard. Does your active family have room for me? I’d love another dog sibling and most definitely a yard to run in (no tie outs). Fill out an application today so we can meet! www.animalrescueproject.org

Our March volunteer of the month is Megan Pollard! She's a longtime volunteer and foster who's always lending a helping hand. She also started a program at her work where she brings in adoptable dogs for her co-workers to meet which many of our dogs have found forever homes through. From everyone at ARP, thank you Meg for all that you do!

Hey, I'm Miles! My foster mom named me that because it looks like I've been through miles and miles of hard time. She rescued me from the shelter where I had been dropped off by a kind person who saw me get beat up every day. Even though I've been through all this I'm a super sweet boy! I'm probably about 3 to 4 years old and I just got neutered. I do have to say that I am FIV positive. In general, that means I can live a long normal life just like any negative cat. My foster mom is unsure if I can live with other cats yet or not, usually cats with my status can live with negative cats as long as they are introduced properly. For now I am still in foster, however in a week or so I will be living at PetSmart on West Main St, if I have not been adopted by then! If interested please fill out an application to meet me!

Annie is ready for any April showers that may come her way. Much like the boy scouts, she's a firm believer in being prepared for any situation and she won't let a little rain stop her from enjoying a walk. Annie will gladly accompany you on all of your springtime adventures whether it's puddle jumping or just curling up on the couch to listen to the rain. This 3 year old beagle will be sure to bring some sunshine to your cloudy days so fill out an application for her today! She's fine with cats and she has done very well with the children she's met.

We have a few dogs that require special foods due to allergies, but right now we're out of grain-free and chicken-free canned dog food. We'd really appreciate any donations of grain-free or chicken-free canned dog food. Feel free to drop them off at the shelter at your convenience. Mellow is one of the dogs that requires a chicken-free diet and she'll be incredibly thankful if you could grab a can or two of dog food for her!

What's better than one dog? Two dogs of course! Zoey and Mellow have been looking for their forever homes for a few months now. Mellow is blind and is the shyer of the two, but with treats (especially marshmallows!) she'll warm right up and crawl into your lap for cuddles. Zoey loves to play and while she might be shy at first, she'll warm quickly and be running around the yard. Both girls are five years old. We are recommending no young children, and a meet and greet with other dogs. They don't mind cats, but seemed scared of them when they hissed, so introduce them gradually. They will also need a fenced in yard. If you stop by the shelter be sure to ask to meet them by name as they are in our isolation rooms so we're able to keep things calm for Mellow. We would really love for these girls to stay together, so we're hoping to find them the perfect home. Share this post to help us! Their adoption fee is only $150 each!
