The Arkansas House of Representatives today failed to pass a bill supported by Arkansas dermatologists that would have prohibited tanning bed use in people under the age of 18 without a prescription. While I am for limiting governmental regulations, this is a decision with which I disagree. Unfortunately society will likely look back on decisions like these in the same way we look back at how people thought cigarettes made people healthy and attractive in the 1930s-50s.
