Come and enjoy an 1863 rendition of the Haynes family as the Union Army fights for control of East Tennessee. You will tour the house and watch as the Haynes family prepare for Christmas and their father, Senator Landon Carter Haynes’s birthday. Treats will be cooked on the open hearth of our cabin. Reservations for tours is appreciated. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children twelve and under. Children three and under free. Members of Tipton-Haynes are also FREE!

Join us as our Sorghum team teaches about how sorghum is made and watch as they cook down the juices into sweet sorghum. The team will be showing the step for step process in making of the sorghum, including having Mules turning the mill. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children twelve and under. Participants ages 6-14 learn about their local history through historic-based crafts, games, music, storytelling, and trips on the nature & the cave. First week-Native American History, Second Week-Revolutionary History, Third Week-Civil War History. Each week is $100 for non-members and $90 for members. Sessions run 9-2, Monday through Friday. Aftercare will be available. Applications will be available in spring.

Join us as we go back in time! Union and Confederate forces will be deciding the fate of East Tennessee at the home of Confederate Senator Landon Carter Haynes. Come watch to see which side triumphs over the other. Then take an exciting tour of the house and explore the historic grounds. Gates will open at 9am and will close at 4pm. The battle starts at 2:00pm each day. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children twelve and under. Children three and under free. Members of Tipton-Haynes are also FREE!

Come and enjoy a day with Civil War reenactors of the Department of East Tennessee as they drill for the new year. Experience camp life and learn how the infantry and artillery would have prepared for battle. Also, enjoy a tour through the historic house and explore the cave and woods. Regular admission price is required while members are free.

Help gather sap flowing from our trees and watch it being boiled down to sweet maple syrup. Pancake breakfast begins at 8am through 11am. Maple Syrup will be cooked down all day, so come on out and join us at any time! Admission will be $5 for adults and $2.50 for children twelve and under. Breakfast is $1.00 extra.
