Young athletes making strides! As a gymnastics coach, Stephanie could tell her daughter, Alexis (right), needed help in her sport. This year, Stephanie noticed Alexis was looking disconnected while running, putting too much pressure on her knees and hips. "In gymnastics, we see a lot of injuries as athletes get older because of the impact on joints," Stephanie says. "I knew we needed to make the correction now to avoid injury." They signed up for training at Mercyhealth Ultimate Sports Performance Training Center in Janesville (formerly Mercy Acceleration). Alexis trains with Jordan, the Center's coordinator. Just after a few sessions Alexis and her mother noticed remarkable improvements. "Jordan pushes me hard, but she's really nice about it," Alexis says.
