facebook.comIsaac Watts (hymn-writer): “It is a great mercy that I have no manner of fear or dread of death. I could, if God please, lay my head back and die without terror this afternoon.” 1 Cor. 15: 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
• Sin will take you farther than you ever wanted to go. • Sin will keep you longer than you ever wanted to stay. • Sin will cost you more than you ever wanted to pay.

{Cheri Endicott here.} I love to reflect on the goodness of God! This is the week Adalyn was expected to arrive. In the hospital, they gave me a stuffed lamb to hold in her place. I am not an animal person....especially stuffed toy animals.....but I took it home and put it with Adalyn's things and never thought much about it. - This past Sunday's lesson for toddler's church was the story of the Good Shepherd looking for the lost lamb. One of the passages I was to study was Psalm 23. What a perfect week it was to reflect on the love and care of my Good Shepherd Jesus Christ! I was able to take Adalyn's little stuffed lamb to church to illustrate the story and reflect on the good Shepherd in my own heart while I taught! Four months ago, God knew I would need this lesson on this exact Sunday and once again "provided a lamb" to illustrate His love for me. - What a picture of Calvary! He used a lamb in the Old Testament to foreshadow the sending of His Son, the perfect Lamb, to die for me on the cross of Calvary in the New Testament! Due to the music schedule needing to adapt to vacation schedules, we ended up singing "So High the Price" with another family in our church that same day. God perfectly orchestrated all of this to remind me of the great sacrifice this perfect Lamb made for our salvation! If you are not sure that you are going to Heaven when you die, we would love to show you how you can receive this great salvation because of the great sacrifice that was made for us. - To paraphrase a conversation with my sister, We need to remember that God sees the bigger picture! God's will is to do the next thing in front of you, even if it seems unimportant or mundane. God weaves His "divine appointments", "God-winks" and ministry opportunities each day as we are following Him doing "the next thing." - Our lives may not look the way we thought it would, but we should not be disappointed but COMFORTED! Since God sees the bigger picture, revel in His goodness and feel absolutely blessed! Know that we are being held in His hands at all times! If we don't choose to feel blessed, we will grow discontent, bitter, and therefore lose hope. ~ Cheri
We sometimes fear to bring our troubles to God, because they must seem small to Him who sitteth on the circle of the earth. But if they are large enough to vex and endanger our welfare, they are large enough to touch His heart of love. For love does not measure by a merchant's scales, not with a surveyor's chain. It hath a delicacy... unknown in any handling of material substance. (Reuben Archer) R. A. Torrey
God gives us a special role – the role of encourager. Let’s not just sing and preach about grace. Let’s become the embodiment of grace to those who need it most. - Davey
Sunday morning with Josh Wilhite, Levi and Colton Canterbury.
“If you cannot preach, you can pray. If you cannot pray aloud, you can plead with God in secret. There are many who cannot preach, but who can give; and there are others, who cannot give, who, nevertheless, can speak a word here and there for the Lord Jesus Christ. There are plenty of weapons waiting for you if you have a mind to wield them.” - Spurgeon [From Sunday's bulletin at Upper Room]
A Sunday school teacher was teaching her class about the difference between right and wrong. "All right children, let's try this example," she said. "If I were to get into a man's pocket and take his wallet with all his money, what would I be?" Little Johnny raised his hand, and with a confident smile, he blurted out, "You'd be his wife!" 😁 Ken
