This last weekend, Pastor Hurley referred to an online resource, www.TheParentCue.org, that has articles and tools to help take advantage of those 936 weeks from when a child is born until the graduate from high school. It's a great resource and worth checking out!

Middle School Phase Class

As awkward as the middle school years can be, it's totally not awkward to jump in to this class at this point. Seriously, if you haven't been able to join us, you are more than welcome to jump in at any time and this week is going to be a good one.

We continue to move forward to make a difference in the next generation. We want to keep you updated. Yesterday, Pastor Hurley finished his sermon with a goal statement for developing children, youth and families. For you frustrated note takers, the following is his statement: Our goal is to equip every person to be men and women of character and spiritual influence in their world, joyful, God-loving, spiritually hungry, Spirit filled, discerning, world overcoming, sin defeating, righteousness pursuing, covenant keeping, worshiping, persevering, obstacle crunching, relationally healthy, emotionally strong, intellectually prepared, purposeful, life-giving, gracious followers of Jesus Christ who are able to face every obstacle and loss and take full advantage and enjoyment of every opportunity that God brings their way. In short that they would glorify God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and enjoy Him forever.

We're one seminar in and this coming weekend we're going to be looking at the Elementary Phase, which is an adventurous time of life and a joy to navigate together! Join us as we learn more about what these little explorers and scientists are really thinking about and how we can walk with them!

In this week's seminar, we're going to look at what is going on in the life of a child in the Elementary phase, the years from Kindergarten through Fifth grade. It's an exciting and adventurous time in the life of a kid. If you care for kids in the stage, you'll definitely want to join us!

This weekend, our STONE Youth Ministry is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner & Gift Basket Auction on Sunday night April 23rd at 5pm to raise money for our youth to attend the Creation Festival this summer. Each year, it's been a great way for us to lower the cost of the trip and a great chance to enjoy time together as a church family. This year, we will have a live band performing during the dinner and a number of specialty baskets filled with goodies for auction. This will be a lot of fun and we hope you can join us!
