These include custom pallet wood designs; re-purposed furniture, wares and art; chalky paint; essential oil body scrubs, soaps & baths; wreaths; children's clothing, accessories and gifts; hand sewn gifts; custom embroidered/embossed stuffed animals, bags, totes, backpacks, towels, jewelry, cups/glasses and more; girls hair bows; american girl doll clothing & accessories; variety of jewelry and stone items; soy blend candles and tarts; hand stamped cards and gifts; die cut scrapbook embellishments; clay pot designs; pet beds; seasonal decor; wind chimes; glass bird bath/feeders; and much, much, more! Hoping everyone has had a wonderful Wednesday!!! We have exciting news to share--- those who know us well understand when I say that we have outgrown our current setting. We are expanding and MOVING our shop!! Yeah!!!! Our last day in Independence will be Saturday June 10th. We hope to open our new shop around July 7th. We will be in the FORMER She's All That Boutique in Fort Mitchell, tucked between the Greyhound Tavern and Herzog Jewelers. Stay tuned for additional details. We will offer many additional services, product lines and a full range of classes, workshops and party options in our upper level work room. We are sooo excited! Thanks for all your support over the past two years!!! We could not have done this without our loyal customers! ❤️❤️❤️

Ryan Ridgley Hailing from Independence our Spotlight Crafter, Ryan Ridgley says his theme for his woodworking creations is “I Make Fun” and he does! From Corn Hole games and Yard Yahtzee to Patio chairs, Ryan’s wooden items are sure to add that fun to any home. Ryan began using his woodworking talent when a friend was looking for a new dresser-changing table for the upcoming birth of a child. He appears to like a good challenge so he loaded up the dresser and used his magic hands to turn it into a custom changing table with all the amenities. Living in Minneapolis he and his wife was real enthralled with Halloween, so he began creating all sorts of over the top wooden décor and props for the occasion. His full time job was in Pest Control and he and his family were transferred to Ky, about a year and half ago. Their loss our gain, because with Ryan came all his great ideas and more room to create with his new home. This past October, Ryan went full time with his wood creations and left his day job, every crafter's dream to be able to do this. He needed a name for his business, so because of his work in pest control and his use of reclaimed barn wood came the name Barn Rat Woodcraft Studio. Clever… Ryan says his inspiration has come from a “Maker Movement” group of individuals who are eager to share what they have learned with others and to create. Presently Barn Rat Studio is displaying their wonderful “fun” items only at L&M’s, though he does a few shows around the area which keeps him busy constantly creating.
