Hurricane City Splash Pad
Description
Residents in Hurricane will have a chance to cool off this summer with the construction of a new splash pad at the city's community center. A group of energetic local citizens have joined together to raise funds for the construction of a splash pad in Hurricane. The City Council and Parks Department have approved the location and design for this exciting new park feature and the citizen committee is working diligently to raise funds to cover the costs. The splash pad will be built on the east lawn of the Hurricane Community Center recreation
building. The Parks Department hopes to have construction completed by early
summer, but fundraising will be critical. The committee has established a separate
account to collect funds which will be donated to the Parks Department.
Donations of all sizes will be greatly appreciated! Anyone willing to add energy and ideas to the fundraising team will be very welcome.
