Hollywood Beach, Florida Hollywood, one of Florida's larger cities, is situated between Ft Lauderdale and the bustling business and tourist center - Miami. At the beginning of the 20th century Joseph Wesely Young founded the city and turned it from forests and tomato plantations into a vibrant tourist destination and transportation hub.
Downtown Hollywood attracts both tourists and locals with a great variety of restaurants & bars, entertainment spots, cultural events and more. The Broadwalk is undoubtedly among the city's highlights and a must-see. It is a 2+ mile long pedestrianized area running next to Hollywood Beach and listed as one of the top ten nostalgic promenades as named by USA Today.
