7 Things I'd Like to Say to the Staff Treating My Medically-Complex Child
Living a life post your child being born into and graduating from a NICU usually means endless appointments with countless specialists, as well as frequent visits to the hospital. So frequent, in fact, that you feel like your child's bills alone could probably sustain all of the pediatric unit salaries... As frustrating as this gets, always remind yourself that you're doing an amazing job advocating for your child and don't forget that you're not there to go up against the staff that could never know your child's medical journal as well as you do, but that you're there to work as a team. Your knowledge of your baby's every unique medical complication conjoined with the staff's heroic worthy combination of THREE Es when it comes to pediatrics (expertise, education, and experience) will make for an amazing collaborating posse when it comes to giving your little one the best care possible, which they absolutely deserve!

Four short years ago, The Sydney Meaghan Memorial Foundation was announced on social media. Since then, we have worked hard to host annual fundraising events in order to provide various NICU essentials to families throughout the country. We are looking forward to the future as we continue to learn best practices and navigate our way through an incredible journey of philanthropy and giving back!
