Whoo wants to join us for Preschool Playgroup tomorrow? The theme is owls, and we'll be making these cute snowy owls and reading some stories about owls at circle time. We hope you can join us! Preschool Playgroup is designed for children ages 3-5 with a caregiver and happens every Friday at Hinesburg Community School when school is open, from 9-10:30. Just check in at the main office, and head on down to the preschool classroom. It's a great chance for younger kids to get familiar with the school, socialize and have some fun. Families can also stay and visit the school library and check out books while you're there!

Save the date, and save those clothes and books when you get the urge for spring cleaning! The popular FREE Children's Clothing and Book Swap will be held at the Hinesburg Town Hall on Saturday, April 8, 9-10:30am. To ensure another successful swap, donate all gently-used children's clothing, sized infant to 14 and children's books, toddler to middle-school level. Drop off clothing and books at Hinesburg Town Hall on Friday, April 7, noon to 8pm, (no toys and no drop-offs on the day of the swap, please!). This is a great way to do your spring wardrobe switch, get new sizes for your own kids and pass on some clothing to friends and neighbors.

Hinesburg playgroups are off this week, due to the school break. We look forward to more playgroup fun with you in March!

Are you a Hinesburg Community School family who could use some extra food for the upcoming winter break? The Hinesburg Community Resource Center is offering vacation food bags to HCS families who receive free and reduced lunch. The bags will include kid-friendly snacks, fruit, simple meal items, and a milk coupon. Bags will be available for pickup at the Hinesburg Food Shelf on Friday, February 24, from 2:00-5:00. If you are interested in receiving a bag, please reserve one by Wednesday, February 22, by calling the Hinesburg Community Resource Center at 482-4946 or emailing HinesburgFOF@gmail.com. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Playing in the warm water and pretending bakery with fourth grade students are just some of the fun things to do at Friday Preschool Playgroup! Join us at the Hinesburg Community School (check in at the main office) every Friday from 9-10:30. We have open play, snack, circle time, stories and songs each week. Caregivers and kids from any town are welcome to join us.

Join us at Baby Playgroup on Thursday from 10-11:30 at the United Church of Hinesburg. We've got hot coffee and tea, and during the month of January babies can opt to enjoy a massage! It doesn't get much better than happy babies and the smell of coconut oil on a cold winter day! :-)
