Good Morning!! Herrin Junior Ball League Opening Night is Tonight! We will begin lining up on diamond 2 around 5:50. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 and then we will play a couple games! We are so excited to kick off this season with you all! Let's make some great memories this summer!

Calling all Tennis players- the new lights have been installed! The new LED lights will be much brighter and cost 75% less to operate. Lights will be on from Dusk to 10pm each night. The courts have been resurfaced and unlike some others are actually flat. Don't know how to play? We can help with that. Just contact us.

Herrin Jr. Ball League Champions This program was created to provide every child regardless of special needs the opportunity to participate in America’s favorite pastime of baseball and softball. It is our goal to provide an environment that enhances the participants’ self-esteem, physical mobility, and embodies the spirit of teamwork and community. Our season will begin on May 25th at 6:00 p.m. We play EVERY Thursday night on Diamond 4 at the HJBL fields. We have a WONDERFUL time!! Everyone bats and everyone plays! Cat DaddyO will be performing at the Herrin Park for this year's Independence Day Celebration Tuesday July 4th,2017

Exciting news!!!! The HJBL has teamed up with the St. Louis Cardinals for a day of baseball in June!!!! We are selling tickets in sections 367 & 368 for $25. The date for the game is June 25. When you purchase a ticket, you also get a hotdog and soda! In addition to this great deal, if we sell 225 tickets, every child that plays in our program and coach will get to participate in a pre-game parade!!! Our players will also be eligible to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame or stay on the field during the National Anthem. (More Info on that later). So, if you or any family member is interested in a ticket, we will be selling them at the remaining sign ups and once the season begins, out of the Diamond 2 Concession Stand. Every player and coach must purchase a ticket if they want to participate. This should be a great time for everyone! What fun the kids will have walking on the field for a parade as well! This is a great deal for $25! We hope a lot of our kids, coaches, and families will be able to attend the game and parade. Friends and Family, if you are interested in tickets, let me know!

HERRIN JUNIOR BALL LEAGUE: Registration Information We will be distributing registration forms to the local schools on Monday. The form should be sent home with your child on Monday or Tuesday. We will also have registration forms at all sign ups. If you want to sell candy, we will not have candy available until the second registration. Registration dates and times are: March 4th, 10:00 am to noon, March 11th, 10:00 am to noon, March 18th, 10:00 am to noon, March 21st, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and March 25th, 10:00 am to noon. Our candy collection date is April 1st, 10:00 am to noon. All candy money must be turned in on or before this date. We will register at Diamond 7, which is located by the high school football field. We can't wait to see everyone! We are hoping for another great summer!!!

Summer is around the corner!! How do we know? Because we will start taking applications for summer lifeguards on March 1st. Lifeguards have to be Red Cross certified. We will also be taking applications for summer help that includes ballfield prep. Applications can be picked up at the Herrin Park District office.
