Description
We invite you to play the award winning Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. Of all the great Orlando golf courses in the Central Florida area, Steve Smyer's creation at Southern Dunes may be the most unique. Central Florida has an abundance of courses that typify the style generally found in the state.
However, not very often can locals and tourists find a course in Florida that has such unique topography to it. This dramatic hillside layout stretches to over 7,200 yards and features 100 ft. of elevation change, large undulating greens, massive high lipped bunkers, Dunes that are covered with high grasses and ornamentals, which form borders that tumble with the terrain.

Lighting strike yesterday morning at 6am, hits oak tree and splinters our 10" irrigation mainline. Our maintenance crew as usual were up to the task of replacing the line in less than 32 hours. It's never boring at the Dunes :)

First Course in the country to receive a fleet of the "NEW" Lithium Battery RXV ELITE golf cars. This morning we received the fleet of cars from EZGO. We kept our signature Inferno Red color, USB, Club Cleaner and coolers (that will be installed in a couple of weeks). These batteries will charge in half the time of traditional batteries, no maintenance and have a 5 year warranty. The car is also 300 lbs lighter because it only requires one lithium battery as opposed to 6 regular batteries. With the weight reduction the suspension was redesigned with the addition of shocks which makes for a smoother ride. Not that a golf car makes a difference in a round of golf, but it does ease the mind of our staff when we are confident that our guests are going to have a dependable vehicle each and every time they play.

Last night at the House of Blues with Jake Owen. A little known fact is that he is the nephew of our very own Debbie Campbell. In the first pic you see our Head Pro Kevin Woodard enjoying the show as John Daly comes out and joins Jake. The next pic is a selfie of John, Jake & Debbie who ends up sandwiched between the two of them. Good Times! Thank you EZGO.com for hosting such a great event!
