In 1994, Bruce Willis demolished the Aukema Drug Company building on Main Street and Croy, which housed an old soda fountain. After Willis rebuilt a historically similar building on the site, Shorty’s Diner opened its doors in May 1996. After closing in 1998, Jacob and Jeanne Greenberg decided to reopen the restaurant and they opened in April 1999.

The Greenberg’s have many years of restaurant experience in the Sun Valley area, and they are extremely proud of Shorty’s Diner. With a dedicated staff and a great atmosphere steeped in local history, Shorty’s Diner is always a fun place to visit. Not only is the food delicious and comforting, but you will take a stroll down memory lane as soon as you come in!
