The United States Dance Championships are over and yet again, Vivo had another fabulous title winning day! Following on from winning the inaugral Blackpool Professional Smooth Championships and claiming their 2nd World Championships, Nick Cheremukhin and Viktorija claimed their 2nd National Championship with another outstanding performance. Quality Personified! Not to be outshone in any way, Michael Bilopukhov and Anastasiia Shchypilina took 2nd in the United States National Professional Latin Championships. Wow!! What a good year for Riccardo and Sabrina! The two times World Professional Rhythm finalists became Blackpool finalists and now claimed top honors at the USDC. One more United States National Champion!! Special Congratulations to Riccardo USpapi and Sabrina Moretti for taking home the title and trophy of the United States Professional Mambo Championship. As always, thanks to our students' support, without which, nothing is possible! Thanks to our extraordinary team of teachers/competitors who constantly push each other for excellence. A fantastic week at the Manhattan Dance Championships. Congratulations to all Vivo dancers in attendance! Winning the Professional Smooth, Professional Rising Star Smooth and Amateur Ballroom Championships were Nick Cheremukhin and Viktorija, Slava Kostianets and Valeriia Kostianets and Angelo Gaetano and Clarissa Morelli respectively. Not to be outdone, there were fabulous performances and results in incredibly strong finals/semis by Michael Bilopukhov and Anastasiia Shchypilina, Serhiy Averkov and Olena Barna, Riccardo USpapi and Sabrina Moretti, Igor Colac and Roxane Milotti. We can all be very proud of their super high quality and achievements! Still, "Home of Champions!!!"

Big congratulations to those teachers who took their first professio al DVIDA exams yesterday: Serhiy Averkov, Olena Barna, Valeriia Kostianets, Tyrone Thiara, Ekateryna Iaritenko and Taya Babiuk. My first teachers, Ken Bateman and Blanche Ingle Bateman were firm believers in the examination process and keeping up the quality of our profession. Likewise, I believe it is a very important and crucial step for any professional dancer. Thanks to Jenell Maranto for her expertise and starting so early in the morning😀

Very, very proud of my 4 couples at the UK Open to the World Championships. Stefano and Bianka, making a fabulous final in the Professional Rising Star. Andres and Veronika End , so close to the final, with a fabulous 8th place. Angelo and Clarissa, again, so close to the semi final in placing an outstanding 15th. Two couples from Vivo in the World's best 15 couples...amazing!!! Last but not least, last year's Professional Vice Champions in the Rising Star, Francesco and Babi, also made an incredibly strong Open Professional Latin division's top 24 couples. The final day of the United Kingdom Open to the World Championships- I want to wish all competitors a totally inspired event! Inspiration that comes from being adjudicated by the world's most knowledgeable judges and surrounded by the world's very best couples. At the same time, Vivo wishes our 3 wonderful and hard working couples a competition to remember! Best of Luck to the 3 times United States Champion, Andres-Veronika End, 2 times US finalists, Angelo Gaetano and Clarissa Morelli in the Amateur Ballroom and also the very best of luck to the US National Professional Rising Star Champions, Francesco Bertini and Sabrina Manzi in the Professional Latin.

Congratulations to Vivo's Stefano Di Brino and Bianka Zubrowska for their excellent final in the United Kingdom Professional Rising Star. An amazing result for the 2016 US National and Open Rising Star Champions in this most prestigious British event, especially as it was their first professional major in England. The US National Championships (USDC) are a fabulous "proving ground" for the World's most prestigious Competitions. Where top class judges abound, everyone has a chance!
