The lot across from our location has now been sold and is now as the bank parking lot... A Tow Away Zone. There is still parking on the Tangerine Greenway right behind the The Blueberry Patch. You can also still park on the street as well just please don't block any driveways and respect our neighbors. This is effective immediately. Please park safe and smart. Carpooling is strongly recommended. We don't want to see any of our Patch Pals get towed. Peace, Love & Blueberries.

ATTENTION: Below is a diagram of the fires currently burning in Florida. With the festival season upon us and lack of rain we are experiencing, please use common sense. Until the fire ban has been lifted, this means NO campfires, NO fire flow (LED flow only) and please, as always, DO NOT throw cigarettes out of your car window or on the ground. Common sense applies to all humans, even you.

Orange Blossom Jamboree is just around the corner and we just wanted to remind everyone that they have a great kids area for the little ones. Bud and Ashlyn have done a great job organizing everything and here is the schedule for this year at OBJ # 8. We are proud to be a sponsor and look forward to another great year!!
Features at the Blueberry Patch
It's a CD release party, y'all! If you’ve been a regular at the Patch since 2005, you will remember this familiar face! Dan Stevens will be the featured artist this Sunday at our Open Mic event on May 7th! Dan's fourth CD with Gatorbone Records was released this month, (Runnin' the Backroads), including Blair Mountain, the story of coal mines and mining companies, written directly from his heart and sadly relevant to the times. It also includes "Hey Uncle Sam (It's Just my Opinion) (A tale of Faux news) and "Another Sad Country Tale” (arguably the world’s best unknown pick-up truck song). The new CD will be available at the Patch this Sunday, so bring some cash and support our local musicians! We asked Dan a few questions so that those of us who weren’t around during the Dallas years, could get to know Dan a little better: 1.) Q: How did you first meet Dallas? A: I first met Dallas in 2005 when Juju and I went to the patch for the first time. 2.) Q: Did you start any music programs over the years at the Patch? A: No, but we did start playing out with some other patch musicians calling ourselves “The Blueberry Patch on Parade". 3.) Q: What is your greatest musical achievement? A: Marrying Juju was really the greatest achievement because she allowed me the time to write songs while she worked. I would write songs then play them at the Patch to see what needed work. 4.) Q: Are there any musicians in the headlines under 30 years of age who inspire you? A: Not ones that really inspire me directly, but they make me realize that there is still a culture that appreciates good songwriting. I’m more inspired by my own musical heroes such as John Prine, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Gram Parsons, Phil Ochs, Townes Van Zant, etc. etc. They are the ones who I look to for inspiration. I also was inspired by all the great rock music of the sixties and seventies. As for younger bands, I really can’t keep up, but I love The Strypes, and bands that have the spirit that so many bands I grew up with had. I also liked bands like Whiskeytown, Uncle Tupelo, Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, James McMurtry, and people like that. 5.) Q: Other than music, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Do you have any other talents? A: Music is kind of an all consuming hobby, but I dabble in art, write poetry, and I’m planning to write a book about all of my crazy adventures soon. Hopefully I can get to it before I forget all the good ones. We are so happy to have Dan back performing at the Patch! Please come out and see Dan this Sunday. You can also listen to his music here: http://www.danstevensmusic.com https://www.reverbnation.com/danstevenssongwriter? We would like to thank Dan's lovely wife Juju for helping us out with this interview! Peace, Love & Blueberries!

2017 Patch Pal of the Month
Our Patch Pal for the month of May is Aleisha Nicole Prather!! She is originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas, she is currently a student at USF, and was recently chosen for an artist program in France. Aleisha has been a big help with some of the new artwork at the Patch, including the Gnome house in the back corner of the Labyrinth property, as well as the giant rooster mural on the east wall. She also helps a lot at the front door on Patch nights, so when you see her working the front desk on a Patch night, give her a big thank you. Thanks for everything you do Aleisha!! Peace Love and Blueberries!!
