UMMC Grenada - EMS “The Grenada Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division is the tip of the spear in emergency medical care in Grenada County. As we continue to move to be the most advanced EMS service in the state supported by the knowledge and experience of an academic medical center in a community setting, Chris Branch and TJ King have been selected to lead our EMS crews to move to the next level of providing state of the art – evidence based care in the homes, businesses and roadways of Grenada County. Both of these individuals and the EMS Director Edwin Mitchell provide clinical leadership, oversight and education. In the coming weeks, Grenada residents will see new ambulances on the roadways that are nice and state of the art, but the care provided with the personnel staffing the ambulance is the key to our mission to improve the emergency medical care for our citizens. Chris, TJ and Edwin are key to this success. I greatly appreciate each of their work.” – Damon A. Darsey, MD, Medical Director, Mississippi Center for Emergency Services
