With just these few tips you can reduce your chances of becoming a victim of check forgery.

With the help of tips James Marcus Lamb was arrested while in the process of selling what he had just stolen.

UPDATE TO IMPERSONATION OF AN OFFICER CASE: Please review the following photos and let us know if you are able to identify this subject. Overview of Case: Subject pictured below called a female customer over to him, while he was sitting in a Chevrolet Impala (gold in color). He stated that he was an uncover cop investigating a missing girl named Sarah. He requested that the female get into his vehicle but thank fully she refused and he left shortly after that.

The Greer Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a subject impersonating an officer. On 04/09/2017 a female was called out to at Lil Cricket located on Middleton Way. She was asked to come to speak to a subject in a Early 2000s model Chevrolet Impala, gold in color. He stated that he was an undercover cop who was investigating a missing girl named "Sarah". He asked the female to get into his vehicle, she refused but provided her ID when asked. He is described as muscular, black male subject with short hair and a full beard. He is between 30-40 years of age, 5'10"-5'11" and about 250 lbs. A sample vehicle is pictured below. It is described as an early 2000's model Chevrolet Impala, gold in color, with stock rims and frosty tint on the back two windows.
