Great Falls is a community with a rich history and a bright future. From our breathtaking views along the River’s Edge Trail, to world renowned western art at the C.M. Russell Museum, to the State Fair and our rich military heritage – Great Falls really does have something for everyone.
Great Falls is the third largest city in the state and is home to over 58,000 residents. We are located in the heart of Montana, surrounded by spectacular natural wonders and scenery. As a community, we have weathered our country’s economic recession well. Our financial institutions are healthy, and we have excellent health care facilities located in our own backyard. Our public and private education systems are outstanding, and our crime rate is low. Great Falls is home to two higher educational institutions the University of Great Falls and Montana State University – College of Technology. In addition, Park University and Troy have satellite campuses at Malmstrom Air Force Base.
The military plays a large role in our community. Great Falls is home to Malmstrom Air Force Base, the center of our nation's first Minuteman Missile Complex as well as the Montana Air National Guard. We value the economic impact that these installations bring to our community as well as the traditions, service and honor that the service men and women and their families contribute to Great Falls.
